to the New CiLT website - dedicated to making language learning an integral, effective and outstanding part of the primary curriculum. New CiLT offers high quality professional advice, information and support for all areas of primary Modern Foreign Languages (MFL). We specialise in helping schools deliver the new statutory requirement for modern foreign languages at Key Stage 2 and in raising achievement by developing and disseminating innovation and excellence in teaching and learning.

The site’s video and audio content is freely available to everyone under the government open source licence. Resources on the site were originally developed by CiLT, the National Centre for Languages, with support from the Department for Education. New CiLT is working to archive site content safely and to ensure that participants in the DfE’s new funding programme are aware of these legacy resources.
